A foreign language major in our Multilingual Translation Team
Why did you choose to join Torindo?
In university, I majored in a relatively minor language in a Foreign Language Department that had over 20 languages for students to choose from. While in school, I felt that there was a demand for human resources with the ability to understand minor languages, and with the desire of taking on a job that would allow me to use this foreign language I studied and contribute to connecting Japan to the world through language, I decided to join the translation industry.
When do you feel that your work is rewarding?
I feel that my work is rewarding when I can really see how we are connecting Japan with the rest of the world through words in the course of communicating with our clients and translators, and when I see the projects and translations I worked on being released in the market.
Who would you recommend join Torindo?
I recommend this job to those who want to work together in cooperation with fellow team members. Torindo places great importance on teamwork, and we get our work done by relying on and helping each other. The senior employees here are really friendly and are always willing to answer my questions in detail.

Why did you choose to join Torindo and what do you feel are the appeals of the job you’re doing?
I studied English and German when I was a student, and I joined Torindo with the hope of being able to apply these language skills in the workplace. In the Multilingual Translation Team that I currently belong to, the greatest appeal is being able to work on a daily basis with not just the languages I’m good at but also with languages that I was unfamiliar with. In addition to translation and proofreading, Torindo lets me take on challenges in new areas such as developing tools to increase work efficiency. With such a broad range of tasks, I am able to take on my work with a sense of novelty every day.
When do you feel that your work is rewarding?
In the course of working with over 20 diverse languages, I find being able to broaden the scope of my knowledge and skills truly rewarding. I also enjoy the challenge of proactively communicating with clients in order to identify their needs, and then applying this information I’ve discovered to proposals and projects.
Who would you recommend join Torindo?
I recommend this job to those who are able to concentrate and work on tasks that require attention to detail, and who would like to work with clients outside the company and team members within the company. It's the perfect job for those who want to apply their specialty in languages and take on the challenge of identifying issues and suggesting proposals.
