What does a Torindo translation coordinator do?
From communicating with clients to making proposals, we handle a range of tasks beyond translation

In many translation companies, the roles of salesperson and translation coordinator are kept separate. However, here at Torindo, our coordinators handle sales as well so that we can directly listen to our clients’ voices and offer them the best solutions.

From assigning translators through to progress management, quality assurance, delivery, and after-sales service, translation coordinators are involved in every aspect of a translation project. As the bridge between our clients and translators, we take the lead in projects with a sense of responsibility, coordinating various aspects while overseeing the project as a whole.

To that end, in addition to language skills, we expect our coordinators to have the task management capability to efficiently handle multiple projects simultaneously, and to have the communication skills required to work smoothly with people inside and outside the company. With such a wide range of responsibilities, it is by no means an easy job, but it is a job that will give you a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment when you move projects forward through your own decisions.

If you would like to acquire a wealth of experience related to translation while building trust with clients and nurturing the ability to identify challenges and handle them flexibly, you are more than welcome to join our team.

An environment of learning that does not require prior knowledge of translation

Even if you have no specialized knowledge in the field of translation when you join our company, our veteran employees will support you through in-house, on-the-job training, helping you to learn and grow one step at a time while taking on actual projects. As long as you love languages and have an interest in various cultures, you will be able to learn useful tips in project management and gain specialized knowledge in translation through practical training.

Project flow
As a bridge between clients and our team, you will move projects forward from receiving orders through to delivery

At Torindo, we handle projects by working with outstanding translators and proofreaders in Japan and overseas. Most of our communication is carried out through e-mail, and we work closely with our partners to manage deadlines and discuss project details. Time management, including managing translators’ schedules and checking their progress while ensuring quality, is an important aspect of our work. In the event that delays and problems occur, we have a system in place that enables our higher-ups and fellow team members to step in promptly to provide help, allowing our employees to carry out their work with peace of mind.

Varied project timelines

We handle a wide range of translation requests, with some projects being short-term and having timelines of just a couple of days, and some large projects extending over a number of months. With diverse projects in various fields and industries, the method of handling and man-hours required differs for each project. However, no matter what project, we work together as a team in order to adapt flexibly to the situation.

1
Clients contact us through phone or e-mail.

2
We ask clients for detailed information, including their desired language pairs, fields, and deadlines. Based on this information, we create a price quote.

3
We choose a translator who suits the client’s requirements, and assign the job to them.

4
We manage progress so that we can deliver high-quality translations within our clients’ requested deadlines.

5
After translators submit their translations to us, we compare the source language and target language, and check the translations carefully for any mistranslations or other errors.

6
Once checking is complete, we deliver the translations to the client and follow up with them as required. We also provide feedback to translators to ensure translations consistently maintain high quality.
