- Fluency in English is required: TOEIC score of 830 points or above, or equivalent
- Ability to use Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with basic computer skills
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency in languages other than English
- Experience using RWS (SDL) Trados Studio (version 2011 or later)
Work description
Translation coordinators manage the progress of the translation and production (DTP) processes for manuals of various genres, sales promotion materials, etc. You will be required to manage the overall schedules of several projects simultaneously, and deal with assignments not just in Japanese and English, but also in various languages including Asian and European languages.
- Corresponding with current clients (e-mail/phone correspondence, creating quotations, meetings, providing suggestions, etc.)
- Progress management/Deadline management of assigned projects
- Translation coordination/outsourcing
- Quality control (translation checks/proofreading)
- DTP coordination
- Cost management/Profit management of assigned projects
- Administrative tasks such as order processing/creating invoices
